During Islamophobia Awareness Month, the Anti-Islamophobia Working Group (AIWG) was honoured to meet with the London Fire Brigade and the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre (Al Manaar Mosque) to address the dramatic surge in Islamophobic hate crimes across London.
Arson attacks and threats on Mosques have recently been reported, and this demands urgent action. For this reason, it was incredibly important to engage the London Fire Brigade during Islamophobia Awareness Month.
Going forward, the AIWG will continue working with them to raise awareness, engage with the community and help educate individuals on safeguarding places of worship and their homes.
Thank you to the LFB for their lifesaving work and commitment to tackling Islamophobia!
