The Anti-Islamophobia Working Group (AIWG) is honoured to have been invited to the Bank of England office in London, to their Islamophobia Awareness Month Event.
It was great to see the Bank's dedication to diversity, equality and inclusion, and tackling Islamophobia. Founder and director, Anisa Mahmood, spoke about the importance of effective allyship and educating individuals on how Islamophobia impacts British Muslims.
Anisa also highlighted the importance of taking practical steps such as recognising a definition on Islamophobia and better data collection.
